Spring/Easter Party - What I'm Wearing

Next Sunday I will be hanging with my family, sipping a cocktail, eating deviled eggs, praying for sun, and watching my kids stuff their faces with jelly beans and marshmallow puffs.  Times don't get much better than that.

What to wear? what to wear?

I am still on my stripes kick so when I saw this striped tube dress from American Eagle Outfitters for only $34.50, it was a must have.  It has stripes in all the right places to ensure it is flattering no matter how many eggs I scarf down.  And, its perfect for layering under a cardigan -- mustard yellow in this case from Urban Outfitters (under $40) with a thin leather belt.  It could also have a second life over a swimsuit pool side.

I have been searching high and low for the perfect wedge and found a great pair from Steve Madden that were comfy, versatile, and not too too high for me.  The style I bought was Skylar which I could not find online (In stores at DSW) but they are almost identical to the Steve Madden Fantastik wedges pictured below.  The only difference is the Skylar style I have has a covered leather heel.  The Fantastik is a replica of a $350+ pair of Stuart Weitzmans.

Have an iPhone 4?

I do and I just got a new case for an amazing price that I must share.

Awhile back I posted about a pink iPhone case I bought that was also a steal. And although I really liked it pale pink is not the right color for this gal. It started looking dingy and I knew that a dark or black case would be the best bet for me.

I went back to look at Vaja Cases. They are a total splurge but oh so lovely. I especially like the Blue Matelasse case but at $130 I would feel too too guilty.

So I did some research and found this awesome CaseCrown case. It is black with a silky texture and the during flip style I like. I must have the face covered so I can just toss that sucker in my purse without worry.

The price -- unbelievable. Yes - just over $5! I had to give it a try because I could buy over 10 of these for the price of the Vaja case.

Spring Trend Alert: Peasant Blouses

Peasant blouses are on the scene for Spring.  Look for them in light flowy materials like silk and chiffon and try a colorful floral or print.  The Peasant blouse in the look below is a steal at under $30 and has some cute embroidery detail.  To balance out the unstructured look of a peasant blouse go for sleek, wide leg pants like these from Banana Republic.

Espadrilles and wedges are a great choice for spring.  I love this nude pair from Nine West -- thick straps give it more edge and you could easily wear them with a dress.  The nude color will make your legs look miles longer.
