Well the Southern California heat wave has passed...for now. But while I have a few moments of cool air and cozy socks, I whipped together a Fall/Winter look that makes me want to drink an adult coffee and possibly grab a scarf.
This look will work for a variety of occasions. Lunch date, casual dinner, shopping, watching the boat parade in Newport Harbor (for the locals).
I have always liked the look of trench coats but didn't LOVE it until I saw it in this deep red color. A leopard sweater or top is a must have for me this season...it just adds enough pizazz without looking like an older lady at the Vegas slot machines in her jazzy leopard sweat suit. (Which are probably the only ladies who use the word "pizazz")
You can't go wrong with corduroy pants this Fall and these slim cut ones from the LOFT are a steal at $40. They make them in petite and tall too - I think I may jump on the tall. The lace up boots on the model for these pants inspired me to find a pair for this outfit. Definitely not a typical pick but I am stepping out of the box here and loving how this looks. Top it off with a suede fringe slouchy bag and you are stylish and seasonal.
For some alternate tastes and budgets...
